The “Al-Akhbar” newspaper learned that the Financial Public Ministry gave a judicial signal by referring the phones of the detainees in the lira price fraud file to the technical branch in the information branch to obtain data from them. The judge’s financial lawyer, Ali Ibrahim, also gave his signal to summon Michel Moktef, the main shareholder of the largest money transfer company to Lebanon (a first-class banking company). Judicial information indicated that Moktef’s summons to the investigation occurred in the context of the testimonies of several arrested money changers, and the date of his presence in today’s investigation was determined in the Al-Dahiya Judicial Detachment. Judicial sources suspect that Murad and Murad were involved in manipulating the national exchange rate by operating dozens of money changers and brokers to withdraw the dollar from the market and collect it in preparation to sell it at a higher price.

Court sources also revealed to “Al-Akhbar” that he found audio recordings and messages he sent daily to ATMs on Murad’s phone showing how he was giving them the “instruction” in terms of determining the dollar price, revealing that one of these messages was like someone ordering them to raise the price of the dollar. The information indicated that the same day that Murad was arrested, he had sent some twenty ATMs a voice message asking them to “press the vertex” to bring the dollar exchange rate to 5,000 pounds next week. A cashier also reported that he was buying dollars and giving them to the captain at another time.
