As a result of close monitoring, and through investigations and investigations carried out by the Office for the Fight against Financial Crimes and Money Laundering of the Judicial Police Unit, its staff managed to locate the department used to store drugs.
Subsequently, an office force raided the apartment in the town of Rawcheh, seized a large quantity of them, especially drugs for the treatment of cancer, and arrested: M. METRO. (Born 1987, Egyptian) and A. ME. (Born in 1982, Egyptian) The identity of the person who works to secure these drugs, with the aim of smuggling them abroad, has also been identified, named: HH (Born in 1991, Lebanese) who was detained by a force of the office, in coordination with the Information Division.
With his interrogation, he admitted that he was communicating with a person of Egyptian nationality – outside of Lebanon – with the aim of securing medicines and smuggling them abroad, and that he was obtaining them from a Lebanese, and work is underway to arrest him.
The detainees, along with the seizures, were deposited with the competent judicial power, based on their indication.
