And Pentagon spokesman Jonathan Hoffman said in a statement released Friday that both Defense Secretary Mark Esper and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Mark Milley had recently undergone tests for the Corona virus, that were negative.

Hoffman added: “There are no changes in the preparedness level of the Defense Ministry. The United States Armed Forces are ready to protect our country and its interests. There are no changes in the preparedness and capabilities of our armed forces.”

He stressed that the command and management structure of the US military was not “affected in any way” by the announcement that Trump and his wife had been injured.

He noted that the flights of the aircraft “E-6B” near the western and eastern coasts of the United States, as soon as the injury of the US president was detected, were planned in advance.

This comes after Trump announced early Friday that he and his wife Melania had contracted the new Corona virus, while the president’s administration confirmed they had mild symptoms.
