On Friday, US President Donald Trump announced that Bahrain has joined the United Arab Emirates in concluding an agreement to normalize relations with “Israel.”
Trump posted the news on Twitter late Friday after speaking by phone with Bahrain’s King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the Prime Minister of the Occupation Entity Benjamin Netanyahu, the White House announced.
The White House announced that Trump, the King of Bahrain and Netanyahu had agreed to establish full diplomatic relations between “Israel” and Bahrain.
According to the White House, an agreement was reached between the Israeli occupation entity and Bahrain during a call between Trump, the King of Bahrain and Netanyahu.
For his part, Jared Kushner, an adviser to the US president, told Reuters that the agreement between “Israel” and Bahrain would include the opening of two embassies.
On August 13, Trump announced that Abu Dhabi and (Tel Aviv) had reached an agreement to normalize relations between them.
The agreement was met with widespread Arab popular rejection and condemnation from the Palestinian factions and authority. The latter considered it a “betrayal” of the Emirates to the city of Jerusalem, the Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Palestinian cause.
Washington hopes that more Arab countries will establish relations with the Israeli occupation in the Middle East region, and the “Abraham Agreement” is the name given to the normalization agreement between the occupation and the Emirates.
