The Ministry of Health tries to defame hospitals that refrain from receiving the wounded: the death toll is on the rise

Yesterday, Corona’s death counter registered seven new deaths, bringing the total number to 207. With the preparation to enter the second wave of spread of the virus, attention has been focused on this indicator, which is becoming daily more dangerous. Before the seven cases, yesterday, the day before yesterday I had 9 deaths and seven before, which means that the following is worse. This is what the numbers say. And what the Minister of Public Health, Hamad Hassan, confirms on each occasion when repeating a crisis is that “the situation is delicate.” Yesterday, the certainty of the situation translated into an increase in the casualty count, which registered 498 injuries, including 494 contacts. The Ministry attributed this increase to the increase in the number of exams, which yesterday reached 11,096 exams. This increase is part of the plan recently approved by the “Ministry of Health” to increase PCR tests, especially in areas witnessing the spread of the virus.

Returning to the figures of the counter, which yesterday reached 14602, specialists are also monitoring another indicator that is no less important and dangerous than the death rate, which is related to the percentage of “residents” in intensive care, since the Percentage increased compared to the day before yesterday, and registered 122 cases out of 404. Currently there are cases in hospitals. This represents a danger for the health sector, which is groaning today, even before entering the second wave. The Rafic Hariri University Hospital has reached its full capacity and can no longer house. As for other government hospitals, they can barely reach their meager potential, while some private hospitals are on the fence. They are “those who let us down in their suffering, although they are in a good morning charging their full fee.” This was said by Hassan during his tour yesterday through the epidemiological surveillance center, the hotline and the disaster management room of the ministry, and went so far as to threaten hospitals that refrain from receiving corona cases by publishing their names, stating that “the list will be released soon.” From the disaster management room, he got in direct contact with several doctors, observers and hospital directors, asking about “ the reason for some doubts in responding to the demands of the room to receive coronavirus patients ”, despite of the issuance of circulars by the Ministry of Public Health in light of the emergency laws and general mobilization currently in force. He clarified that “for hospitals from now on, their Corona fund fees require a truthful declaration of the cases that are being treated in a transparent and orderly manner.”
In the same context, the head of the Parliamentary Health Commission, Deputy Assem Araji, indicated that private hospitals are not “in the same wave”, estimating the number of hospitals that have entered the face of the Crown with “10 departments that have been destined to the follow-up of Corona patients “. And if the situation continues as it is, “inevitably the worst will come, as government hospitals cannot play this role alone with the second wave.”
On the other hand, the Minister of the Interior and Municipalities, Mohamed Fahmy, issued a new decree modifying the opening and closing hours of industrial and commercial companies. The decision, in its first article, stipulated the modification of the schedule to “prevent entry and exit to streets and highways, to be between the first hour after midnight until six in the morning.” Apart from that article, Minister Fahmy opened “the walk” in front of a group of private institutions, including bars, discos, halls for social events, the Lebanon casino, popular markets, Internet and video game centers, theaters, cinemas and parks. public. It also allowed the celebration of weddings “within the rate of 50%. Of the load capacity of the place.” These institutions include “swimming pools, covered sports courts, amusement parks, parks and indoor spaces for children’s games.”
