The Lebanese Ministry of Energy and Water announced on Wednesday that “the fair price of tariffs for private electric generators for the month of October is: 589 LBP. Per kilowatt hour. “
In the ministry statement:

This rate is based on an average price of 20 liters of diesel fuel for the month of October, which is 15,142 LL. This is after taking into account all the expenses, benefits and costs of the generators, plus a good profit margin for their owners.
This price was issued based on the mathematical table approved by the Ministry of Energy since October 14, 2010, and in compliance with Cabinet Resolution No. 2 issued on 12/14/2011 on taking the necessary measures to adjust the price of private generators, and based on the joint application mechanism between ministries. Energy, Interior and Economy, announced on 12/20/2011, which identified the responsibility of the Ministry of Energy and Water in circulating the price of private generators based on diesel prices at the end of each month.
A 10 percent rate will be added to the approved price if the generator is located in a mountainous area or in small towns where the number of subscribers is small and the distribution networks are long.
The Ministry of Energy and Water also announces that it has sent books on the October 2020 pricing to the Ministries of the Interior and Economy to do what is required according to the joint control mechanism.
