The first phase includes increasing the number of beds in seven government hospitals in Beirut, Mount Lebanon and the north, where the number of wounded is increasing dramatically, over a period of between one week and ten days, along with the continuation of the campaigns of field test.
The second stage includes increasing the number of beds in the south and west of the Bekaa in a period not exceeding three weeks.
– Government hospitals are supposed to be in the third phase and, in six weeks, they have increased the number of intensive care beds to receive Corona patients.
Minister Hassan noted that “these stages also include the distribution of respirators in the custody of the ministry, in addition to the distribution of donations received by the Lebanese army.”
He added that “strengthening the capacity of government hospitals will be accompanied by the implementation of the agreement reached with private hospitals, according to which the Ministry of Public Health raised the rate of protective subsidies for the treatment of Corona patients.”
He said: “The ministry has addressed a circular to these hospitals to receive patients, noting that there is a proposal that has been discussed with the Union of Private Hospital Owners, according to which a private hospital will be prepared in each governorate for Corona patients. “. He stressed that “a series of respirators will be temporarily distributed or delivered to private hospitals that will fight with the Ministry of Public Health the battle to confront the epidemic.”
