The newspaper quoted a Lebanese security official as saying that Ibrahim provided US authorities with information on Tice and Kamalmaz, where he met with White House national security adviser Robert O’Brien for four hours, in which he clarified the demands. from Damascus as part of negotiations aimed at ending suspicions surrounding missing American citizens.

The newspaper said that the Lebanese security official and an informed Syrian source confirmed the Syrian government’s effort to conclude an agreement with the Trump administration that would lead to the lifting of sanctions that have depleted the country’s economy, and this possible agreement also includes the necessity for the withdrawal of US soldiers stationed at the Al-Tanf base on the Syrian-Jordanian border.

It should be noted that Ibrahim had stated during his visit to Washington that he had discussed the security files that could not be discussed before they were fully completed.
