The British newspaper “The Guardian” reported that lawyers working for Interior Minister and former Saudi Crown Prince Muhammad bin Nayef had warned that he had been subjected to a systematic Internet campaign that could endanger his life.

The newspaper confirmed in a report published Saturday that lawyers approached the “YouTube” company with a request to remove a video alleging bin Nayef’s involvement in a plot to overthrow the current crown prince, Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

The lawyers indicated that the video may lead to dangerous retaliation against their client, but “YouTube” has not yet taken any action to erase the tape.

The lawyers denied in their letter to “YouTube” the allegations contained in the video, which states that bin Nayef is free and was recently seen in the company of the presumed winner in the US presidential elections, Joe Biden.

The lawyers said their client has, in fact, remained in prison in his country since March with restricted access to family members, adding that Muhammad bin Nayef’s loyalty to Muhammad bin Salman was and remains unshakeable.

Parallel to the publication of this video, according to the newspaper’s report, a torrent of tweets was revealed on social networks, in which it is stated that bin Nayef was part of a “deep state” scheme led by the American Democratic Party with the goal of overthrowing King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and that the disclosure of this plot resulted in the dismissal of the former crown prince in 2017.
