If the political and social fear of hell captures the souls of the Lebanese, then trust that a healthy hell, as a result of the expansion of Corona and the collapse of the medical sector, will cut their souls in every sense of the word.
The virus that attacks it in Lebanon, and which has registered terrifying figures in recent days, now warns of a looming catastrophe, until we learn of the infection of political, media and artistic figures with the virus, some of the which did not hesitate to announce the news and warn those who were in contact, while others kept their infection a secret. .
The news of journalist Bassam Abu Zayd’s infection with the Corona virus came as a shock to Lebanese as the beloved journalist said goodbye to viewers to go to an Arab screen outside of Lebanon, only to discover days later that he had Corona.
Abu Zaid tells, in an interview with the mtv website, how he felt the symptoms of the virus and quickly underwent a positive PCR test, so he contacted the doctors close to him, and followed the instructions, and did not arrive late to inform everyone who had mixed with them in the last days of their infection, knowing that he did not know the source. Infection, and he didn’t look for that, “what happened happened”, according to him.
Abu Zaid does not hide the fear he felt for his family in particular, despite the fact that his symptoms were mild and there were no complications that required his hospitalization.
“The virus is spreading and everyone is vulnerable to infection,” said Abu Zaid, despite his claim that taking precautions is imperative, as the mask is necessary and mixing should be avoided as much as possible. in addition to maintaining social distancing.
He adds: I thank the media professionals, colleagues, friends and all those who expressed solidarity with me and reassured me, but what surprised me was how a large percentage of the Lebanese people dealt with the issue of my injury, as they showed a great delay in dealing with the injured, and even a large percentage of stupidity and delay, since I received contacts about it. Much guilt, as if he had committed a crime, and another with indescribable insects, “Some people in Lebanon need education, otherwise it is impossible to work as a country,” as he said.
On September 28, Bassam was supposed to leave Lebanon to undertake a new trip on an Arab screen, but his injury forced him to postpone the trip, and here he is preparing today to travel next week, after he underwent a new test last Saturday, and his result was negative.
On the other hand, the experience of the media, Nadia Bassat, with the Corona virus was different, and even doubled, after her two children who were abroad were infected with the virus last March, and here it is Today she is fighting alone against the virus, until she was forced to enter the hospital for two days.
Basat indicates, in an interview with our website, that she was not afraid at first because the symptoms were mild, as she felt very tired and did not feel like sleeping anymore, but things changed afterwards, as the symptoms intensified with a feeling of shortness of breath and severe pain in the kidneys and bones. “I really felt like I was going to die,” he says.
Basat remained in the hospital for 48 hours due to the drastic reduction in the percentage of water in her body, but what she heard there made her aware of the seriousness of the virus and what awaits us in the coming days, as the screams of the hungry filled the place, amid the decline of empty beds.
So far he does not know the origin of the infection, especially because he has been at home for a while, although it is likely that the domestic worker has infected it, and he called on citizens not to underestimate the virus, and to refrain of mixing and not participating in any kind of events and holidays, adding: They did not accept one, and they were not ashamed of the end, they put two masks in place of the muzzle, they postponed their projects and their looks to break the stage and until we get into messes.
