The Committee for the Monitoring of Preventive Measures and Coronavirus Measures in Lebanon held a meeting on Wednesday headed by its president, the secretary general of the Supreme Defense Council, Major General Mahmoud Al-Asmar, and the reality of the spread of the epidemic in light of current economic reality.
The committee recommended “extending the working day in the tourism sector until 3 in the morning of the first week from the date of issuance of the decision, with emphasis on the commitment of all institutions and facilities to preventive measures and measures for the generalized Coronavirus in this sense under a commitment signed by their owners, especially with regard to the work of bars and cabarets as restaurants and not The allocation of a common space for dancing and adherence to 50 percent of the capacity , provided that the restriction of working hours in this sector ceases in the following week, so 24-hour work is allowed.
The committee highlighted “the need to organize a focused media campaign that clarifies the need for citizens to adhere to preventive measures and measures for the Coronavirus and the catastrophic consequences in case of non-compliance with them.”
The committee urged “the Ministry of Health to present the plan that will be applied in terms of reception, storage, distribution and use of the Coronavirus vaccine to be imported to the Monitoring Committee for Preventive Measures and Procedures for Coronavirus by their representatives on the Committee ”.
