He noted that “the current stock is sufficient for a period of at least two months, and everyone will cooperate at this stage,” noting “a meeting to be held on Friday with the Banque du Liban to begin detailing the details of the aforementioned mechanism.”
In turn, Jabara assured that “the general atmosphere in the Banque du Liban, the Ministry of Public Health and the government confirms that support will not be withdrawn from medicine without an alternative plan that protects the citizen and the Lebanese health system. There is no lifting of support, but a reduction of this support according to an alternative plan that is being studied by the interested parties, highlighting that “you will be in front of those who raise the risk when you are sure that things will not be as they should be.”
Regarding the loss of a series of drugs on the market, he explained that “this issue is the result of many people rushing to withdraw drugs from pharmacies, while the stock is not enough for the panic that occurred, and it is considered that covers the needs of people in normal times, noting that this matter only applies. On drugs for incurable diseases “.
And he added: “On the other hand, with regard to other medicines, a mechanism has been agreed with the unions of pharmacists and doctors to control the arsenals and achieve justice among the people, so that the better-off do not obtain a large amount of the drugs they want in exchange for a small amount for the less capable. ”
He stressed that “this procedure is not intended to annoy people, but rather to ensure the rights of all”, and stressed that “the decrease in the state of panic will return things to their previous state.”
