There have been several recent thefts of quantities of iron, batteries and tools used in construction work, from various workshops within the reach of the Shaheem platoon in the regional gendarmerie unit.

Through their interrogations, they confessed what was attributed to them, and that they were selling the stolen items at one of the junk collection points in Sidon.
Investigations also revealed that they had committed other thefts in the southern town of Tanburit.
They were referred to the Beiteddine Judicial Detachment in the Judicial Police Unit, to deepen them, based on the reference of the competent Judicial Power, and work continues to arrest the rest of those involved.
