The General Directorate of Public Security issued the following statement:
“Some social media sites shared information that an official from the Directorate General of Public Security did not allow a Palestinian refugee in Lebanon to return on the plane that returned to Lebanese yesterday from Dubai airport.”
It is important that the General Directorate of General Security clarify that it is working in accordance with the decision of the Council of Ministers to exclusively return the Lebanese at this stage, provided that the return of non-Lebanese who have the right to enter Lebanon in later stages.
The Directorate confirms that it has begun investigating the officer regarding the information received regarding his inappropriate handling of the person in question, so that action can be taken in light of the outcome of the investigation.
