Several other countries joined the list of European countries that announced the suspension of the use of the British-Swedish company “AstraZeneca” anti-Coronavirus.

The Portuguese newspaper “Público” reported that the country’s authorities decided to suspend the use of the “AstraZeneca” vaccine after registering side effects in two of the people who received the vaccine.

In turn, Cyprus decided to suspend the use of the vaccine until March 18, until the European Medicines Agency issued its report on cases of deep vein thrombosis in several people who received the vaccine.

The Cypriot Health Ministry added that the vaccination of the “Moderna” and “Pfizer” vaccines in Cyprus will continue normally, according to the previously scheduled schedule.

Slovenian Health Minister Janez Poklukar announced the suspension of use of the vaccine as a “precaution”, adding that the ministry asked experts to review the vaccine after some doubts about its safety.

Latvia decided to completely suspend the use of the “AstraZeneca” vaccine until its effect on the health status of its recipients was clarified, days after its decision to suspend the use of a batch of the vaccine after the deterioration of the health of two people after were vaccinated with it.

In March, some European countries reported several deaths from venous thrombosis among people who received the “AstraZeneca” vaccine, without confirming the link between it and the vaccine.

Among the countries that have suspended the use of the “AstraZeneca” vaccine are Austria, Denmark, Norway, Germany, Italy, France, Spain and others.
