The rector of the Lebanese University, Fouad Ayoub, announced that based on Decision No. 1250 of October 11, 2020, issued by the Minister of the Interior and Municipalities on the closure of some villages and localities due to the high number of injuries due to crown in them, the administrative and academic work in all the units, branches and centers of the Lebanese University, from the morning of Monday, October 12, 2020 until the morning of Monday, October 19, 2020.

He noted that the central administration, the deans and the departments that have not yet closed will open their geographic locations on Tuesday, October 13, 2020 and Thursday, October 15, 2020, in order to perform administrative tasks. Resident workers in closed towns are exempt from attending the central administration, deans and administrations. All exams, including entrance exams scheduled during the closing period, are postponed to later dates to be determined by the unit deans.

He indicated that work continues as usual in the university health center and in the molecular biology laboratories of the Faculty of Sciences of the Hadath complex and in the Laboratory of Microbiology of Health and Environment of Tripoli.
