They raised the Lebanese flags and replaced the two red lines with black lines, as an expression of the sadness that Beirut suffered as a result of the port explosion.

One of the activists read a statement in which she asked: “Where is the investigation, where are the accused and why was no one guilty of bombing the port?”

The Lebanese army formed a human barrier against the sympathizers and sympathizers of the “Free Patriotic Movement” who wanted to advance towards the road to the presidential palace, to avoid friction with the other group that was demonstrating to demand the departure of the President of the Republic.

Supporters of the Free Patriotic Movement threw stones and empty bottles at the cars passing by on the Baabda road.

Subsequently, supporters of the Free Patriotic Movement retreated to the inner streets leading to the Republican Palace, and the Sayyad Rotunda has now been emptied of protesters, in order to avoid friction between the two demonstrations.
