In turn, the head of the transitional government in Sudan expressed his aspiration to “external relations that better serve the interests of our people,” as he described it.
He stressed the need for continued coordination with the US administration to complete the removal of Sudan from the list of “states sponsoring terrorism.”

He noted that Sudanese airspace is now open to “Israel”, noting that “this allows for direct and shorter flights between” Israel “and Africa and South America.
Sudan lives in the midst of a great disagreement between the two ruling parties, including the military and civilians, on the normalization of relations with the occupying power, while large demonstrations were held in Khartoum to reject this step.
