“Strong Lebanon” and Government Formation: We will not accept “intellectual bullying”!

Today, Tuesday, November 3, the “Strong Lebanon” bloc held its periodic meeting electronically, headed by Representative Gebran Bassil. He discussed the developments and issued the following statement:
The bloc again calls for speeding up government formation and adopting unified constitutional and constitutional standards to facilitate the drafting process. Neither double standards nor the adoption of a policy of complacency distributing inflated and contradictory promises, nor the intentions to marginalize and accuse others, including the bloc leader, of obstruction, would conceal those who were truly responsible.

This behavior is a kind of intellectual intimidation, to prevent the block from expressing its opinion, determining its position or exercising its right in everything related to the government’s position.
The head of the bloc was silent and did not participate at all in the consultation process until now, out of his desire to facilitate the formation process, and to give the President of the Republic and the designated Prime Minister the opportunity to agree on a government that takes on the standards unit counts, and includes ministers capable of carrying out the reform mission.
The bloc, from its constitutional and representative position, is determined to continue managing positively, but that does not make it lose the right to consult and negotiate, and to take whatever position it deems appropriate on the issue of training or participation in government. In all cases, it will not depart from the rights and principles of representation and the charter, which in no way contradict the standards of competence, competence and integrity.
