The Spanish Ministry of Health announced the registration of 40,197 new cases of coronavirus, in the largest daily increase since the outbreak of the pandemic.
The Ministry reported that 235 new deaths were recorded, noting that the cumulative number of injured rose to 2,252,164, while the total number of deaths rose to 53,314.
Data from the Ministry of Health showed that the incidence rate of the disease, measured in the last 14 days, reached a new level of 575 cases per 100,000 people, compared to 522 cases.
Spain is the tenth country in the world in terms of the number of Coronavirus cases, with more than 2.2 million cases, and the tenth in terms of the number of deaths from the pandemic, with more than 53 thousand deaths.
