The incident report continued: “The perpetrators managed to flee the scene, before the security forces arrived,” indicating that Bejjani was a Lebanese photographer and worked for a telecommunications company.
Kahla residents protested in front of the village church, demanding that the circumstances of the crime that caused a sensation be revealed.
The report went on, explaining that the incident raised doubts about who was behind Bijani’s murder, as the news spread on communication sites that the perpetrator worked as a photographer approved by the Lebanese Army Command and photographed their official events, which was later denied by military sources.
He added: “Many linked his murder to documentation of evidence related to the Beirut port explosion, and that he was one of the photographers who participated in the filming of the first moments of the port explosion. He was summoned to investigate the port side explosion, his body was found in his home after being hit with a sharp object on the head.
