The secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran, Ali Shamkhani, affirmed that the Zionist entity seeks, through the so-called “peace”, to achieve its ancient dream of expansion of controlling the region from the “Nile to the Euphrates”, adding that the Islamic world will not allow the realization of this dangerous and treacherous project at all.
Shamkhani’s position came during his meeting with the head of the Rule of Law coalition, former Iraqi Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki, in Tehran.
Shamkhani warned about the United States’ attempts to sow discord and fan differences in the region, considering that the priority of the countries of the region to face this scheme lies in cohesion and the strengthening of solidarity among them.
In context, he referred to the enemies of Iraq who do not want progress and prosperity for him and who are trying to use the upcoming elections to inflame differences and conflicts and thus create chaos in this country.
Shamkhani believed that the United States had dedicated its efforts to undermine the capabilities of regional countries to protect the security of the Zionist entity and to extend the hegemony of the false entity over Arab and Islamic countries.
While warning some traitorous and compromising leaders who sacrifice the interests of the Islamic world and the principles of Palestine in the service of their wishes and their short-term survival; Shamkhani affirmed that the Islamic world will never allow the realization of this dangerous and treacherous plan.
He went on to say: “I am sure that the pure blood of the martyr Haj Qasem Soleimani, the martyr Abu Mahdi Al-Muhandis and all the righteous martyrs of the resistance and their sincere sacrifices will uproot the roots of America and the Zionist entity in the region.”
In turn, Al-Maliki praised Iran’s distinguished positions in fighting terrorism and enhancing regional stability and security, and called for concerted efforts between Iran and Iraq on important issues in the region and the world.
