Seclusion of the city of Jezzine – Ain Majdalene

The Jezzine District Commissioner Mayor Yahya Hamidi Saqr issued a decision to isolate the city of Jezzine – Ain Majdalene in the Jezzine District, after reviewing the judicial medical report and based on the instructions and mandate of the Governor of South Lebanon , and public health and safety requirements in the face of the threat of the spread of the epidemic.

The decision read: “The first article: It is completely isolated and closed, from 6 a.m. on Monday until 6 a.m. on Monday 11 of this year in the city of Jezzine – Ain Majdalin – district of Jezzine, and it is forbidden to hold public or private parties or social events (weddings, funerals) or evenings or gatherings of all kinds and in all places, and it is forbidden to go out and enter the streets and highways between 18 and 5 in the morning all the days.

Article 2: Establishments related to the health and medicine sector (pharmacies, dispensaries, … etc), ovens, fuel and gas distribution stations, public administrations and public institutions are exclusively excluded from the closure decision. As for food stores of all kinds, supermarkets and mini markets are closed between five in the afternoon and until five in the morning, as long as the health conditions, preventive measures and citizen security are met, use mandatory mask, personal hygiene, not overcrowding, maintaining safe distances between people and permanent sterilization, and confidence in the delivery service to the greatest extent possible.

Article 3: The municipality of Jezzine – Ain Majdalene demands the strict application of preventive measures, the commitment of citizens and residents to the principles of social distancing, prevention, no curfew and mixing, and not leaving home except in cases of extreme necessity, and the mandatory use of a mask to cover the mouth and nose when forced to move, and also to ensure that the institutions excluded from Closing with health conditions and the permanence of opening and closing specified in the article Second of this decision, and consequently organize the seizure files against offenders in accordance with current legal and regulatory principles, and request the support of the security forces when necessary.

Article 4: The security forces are assigned to fully coordinate with the Municipality of Jezzine – Ain Majdalene to implement the content of this decision and organize a search in accordance with the rules.

Fifth Article: This decision will take effect from six in the morning on Monday morning and any text that contradicts or does not contradict its content will be canceled.
