After the inauguration of the open and complete normalization phase between the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain on the one hand and the Israeli entity, Saudi Arabia did not sit idly by at this event, but rather worked to promote these agreements and accompany them in the media and propaganda, amid the likelihood of other Arab and Gulf countries joining the normalization convoy, including Saudi Arabia. Amid a disagreement recently revealed by the Wall Street Journal, between King Salman bin Abdulaziz, who opposes normalization, and the desire of the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed bin Salman, to walk on this train. In this context, it should be noted that the Saudi newspaper Arab News changed its cover on Twitter, as it included the phrase “Shana Tofa” in the Hebrew language, which is used to congratulate the arrival of the Hebrew New Year. A move that caused a stir in the media and popular circles, as a platform was established 45 years ago and was the first Saudi newspaper to be published in English and is owned by the Saudi Arabia Research and Marketing Group. The congratulations that the “Israel in Arabic” page celebrated did not last long, as “Arab News” removed the cover image and replaced it with another image celebrating the 45th anniversary of its founding, after it sparked a wave of discontent and confusion, amid questions about Saudi Arabia’s intention to join The Standardization Club, and followed the example of the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain, to attract new investment, with the aim of financing the 2030 vision that bin Salman proposed years ago .
