Sassuolo became the first Serie A club to resume training after the Corona Virus crisis after saying that its players can use the club’s facilities starting Monday, optionally.

Meanwhile, Bologna said its players can train from Tuesday. Series A has been suspended since March 9, and the Italian Football Association and League want to end the season, although the Italian government has said it has not yet decided whether to allow it.

The government has given professional groups permission to practice in practice starting May 18, although it must follow the guidelines for social separation. Sassuolo and Bologna are based in the Emilia Romagna region, which has granted special permission to athletes in team games to participate in individual training sessions since May 4.

“Sassuolo announces that starting Monday, May 4, players will be able to use the Mabe Soccer Center stadiums as an optional option to participate in individual practice,” Sassuolo said in a statement.

The club added that only players will be able to use the stadiums, but will not be able to use the indoor facilities. According to Sassuolo’s instructions, each player will have half a court to play.

“Individual training will take place in the morning from Monday to Friday, using three fields and in the presence of six players every hour (one player in each half of the stadium),” added Sassuolo.

Bologna announced a similar orientation, while the Parma and Spal clubs, which are also in Emilia Romagna, have also not revealed whether they will resume training. The Campania region, which includes the city of Naples, also said that players can start training, although the Naples club has not yet commented.
