The minister and his daughter were injured and taken to hospital, and the minister was admitted to intensive care before dying, affected by his fatal injuries, while his daughter was injured and is still receiving treatment.

In this context, the Sanaa Interior Ministry said that “criminal elements affiliated with the aggression assassinated the Minister of Youth and Sports, Professor Hassan Zaid.”

“The criminal elements intercepted the car of the Minister of Youth and Sports who was driving with his daughter and shot him, which caused his death and injured his daughter,” he added.

The minister was transferred to a hospital in the capital, in very critical condition, and later died.

Following the accident, the Sanaa government security forces deployed in the area and imposed a wide security cordon at the site.

The “Right Party” in Yemen lamented its general secretary, the Minister of Youth and Sports, Hassan Muhammad Zaid.

The party claimed that the assassination of Secretary General Zeid “is part of the crimes of the US-Saudi-Zionist-Emirati coalition against our country and our people, of which the martyr was one of the fiercest opponents.”

The party noted that “the coalition of aggression had included the name of Minister Zaid in the list that it had explicitly noted.”

And the “party of truth” called the security services, “which we trust will play their supposed role in the discovery and arrest of criminals.”

The political bureau of the Ansar Allah movement, in turn, offered its condolences to the martyr’s family to the Yemeni people and called on the authorities concerned to “pursue the direct perpetrators of the crime, discover them and bring them to justice to obtain their deterrent punishment “.

He stressed that “the destabilization of security and stability in the capital, Sanaa, which the aggressor forces seek and seek will not be fulfilled.”

He told the forces of aggression: “Your aggression, your siege and your crimes will not undermine the absolute confidence and firm faith of our people in the liberation project until the great victory is achieved.”

Notably, Minister Hassan Zaid is a Yemeni politician born in the old city of Sana’a in 1954, one of the founders of the Al-Haq Party and its current Secretary General, and one of the founders of the Yemeni Joint Meeting Parties bloc.

Zaid was appointed Minister of State in the Yemeni government in 2014, and remained in office until the resignation of the government in January 2015, and was later appointed Minister of Youth and Sports there.
