The Russian Center for Microbiology “Gamalia” announced that the “Sputnik V” vaccine against Coronavirus conforms to the medical standards in force in Russia.
This statement was made by the director of the Gamalia Center, Alexander Ginsburg, when commenting on reports of Turkey’s reluctance to buy the Russian vaccine, on the pretext that it does not meet international standards of good laboratory practice (GLP).

Ginsburg said in an interview with the Russian channel RBC: “I can confirm based on the documents of our official institutions that the vaccine complies with the standards. The production processes in our laboratories are organized according to the standards established by the Ministry of Industry and Commerce of Russia and not with the standards of the European organisms related to the license of medicines. “
He added: We did not set our goal for our product to conform to the standards in force in Turkey or the European Union, and said: “This has nothing to do with the quality of the vaccine … The Russian Direct Investment Fund has presented A request for approval of the vaccine is submitted to the World Health Organization, and the organization may recommend other countries, including Turkey, to use it. But the decision to accept or reject this recommendation rests with the state in question “to buy the vaccine.”
Earlier in the day, the Haber Turk media network quoted Turkey’s Health Minister Fakhruddin Kuja as saying that the Russian vaccine has been turned outside of Ankara’s circle of interests due to its non-compliance with GLP standards.
