Revolutionary Guard: We will face any threat on our borders

The ground force commander in the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) reveals the dispatch of ground forces to border areas to defend national security and ensure the safety of their residents.

Iran’s Revolutionary Guard ground force commander, Brigadier General Muhammad Pakpour, said: “Any security threat on our borders will be met with our response.”

Speaking to Iranian media about the war between Armenia and Azerbaijan on Saturday, Pakpour indicated that his country opposes and condemns all kinds of occupation and aggression.

He stressed that the ground force of the Revolutionary Guard has been following the border developments since the first days of the fighting between Azerbaijan and Armenia.

It revealed that ground force forces would be dispatched to the border areas to defend Iran’s national security and provide security and tranquility to the residents of those areas.

The spokesman for the Iranian armed forces, Brigadier General Abu Al-Fadl Shakarshi, said about the continued fall of missiles and rockets on Iranian territory; As a result of the battles between Azerbaijan and Armenia: “The two countries must solve their problems through dialogue, otherwise repentance will definitely follow.”

“We remind the two affected countries that they must first be careful to fan the fires of war and demonize foreigners. And resolve their differences peacefully through dialogue,” he added.

On October 15, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh said the fall of war missiles on the border, following the conflict in Nagorno Karabakh, was “unacceptable”, denying rumors of an Iranian response to the same ones directed to the border areas.
