Remove the ad on the onion. The reason is’ unethical!

[ad_1]

Last September, a Canadian seed company posted an ad on Facebook that included a picture of large onions.

Shortly after the ad ran on the blue site, the production company received a warning from the site that required it to remove the image because it contained “sexually explicit material.”

The ad posted by “EW Gas” promoted the sale of “Walla Walla Sweet” brand onion seeds, and it was priced at just $ 1.99.

The ad features peeled onions in a basket. Next to it is another small grain cut in half. His description reads: “Onion is very sweet and easy to grow from seed.”

The Canadian company said it was surprised by Facebook’s decision and the reason for its decision.

A Facebook representative did not immediately respond to a request for comment, but a source at the site said in press releases that it was using “automated technology” to censor images.

He claimed that the blue site uses this technology to banish content that contains nudity, but sometimes this technology cannot recognize the content, as in the case of this type of onion.

Later, Facebook republished the ad and apologized to the company for what happened.
