What led many to attack Kassir was that he was from the Shiite community, with some finding his words unacceptable, while others accused him of receiving money from abroad.

I am just a writer, a journalist, or a person with a humble point of view and a university researcher who works to spread the dialogue “. Addressing the problems and striving to protect Lebanon and the entire Arab and Islamic world, while I was and continue to be with the resistance in Lebanon and Palestine and against all the occupiers, and I am with every oppressed and persecuted person, and I do not seek even the media, political or partisan incitement.
And he added: “What I wish for those who want to discuss opinions calmly and in the interest of our entire Homeland and that we all be soldiers for the unity of our Homeland and to protect it from any aggressor … And my career has been known for more than forty years and I have worked and continue to work within my conviction and freedom … By God. I would say martyr. ”
In his second statement, Kassir said: “I appeal to the masses of the resistance, whom I like to apologize for having been touched by my meeting somewhere, and these are some clarifying points that I liked to make to assure you. all that I remain committed to the option of resistance until the liberation of all occupied lands and the support of the Palestinian resistance, and that I have not given up. ” I will not make this option, while I ask the Lebanese to maintain a dialogue to preserve Lebanon and its unity and to confront the occupied entity. “
