The head of the General Union of Drivers of the North, Shadi Al-Sayed, held a meeting with a group of drivers in which he presented the stage of return to work in accordance with the procedures of the relevant ministries and the gradual reopening of the country, as voiced by Acting Prime Minister Hassan Diab and Interior Minister Mohamed Fahmy.
Al-Sayed addressed the drivers saying that these were difficult days and that our crisis has increased in severity and difficulty. Today, we head to work again.
Therefore, given the announced procedures and the gradual return to work in stages, it is imperative that all drivers protect themselves first, then their relatives and then their passengers, this is a personal responsibility and we are bound by it.
Al-Sayed continued: We hope to comply with what is declared in the workplace with limited energy first, that is, thirty percent, then fifty, and so on.
Today this is our talk, and tomorrow we will have another talk with the state and our demands, generalizing aid to everyone, and raising the level of support for the Lebanese from their government in a beneficial way, but now starting with both, we will make it come back to work and after that for every recent incident.
