The President of the Republic, Michel Aoun, expressed his hope that Lebanon will be able to overcome the difficulties it is currently experiencing, and called for concerted efforts for Lebanon to regain its role in its environment and in the world.
Noting that the Lebanese who have suffered economic, financial and health difficulties this year hope that the international community will support them and help them revive their country and lift them out of the crises that have accumulated over the years.
President Aoun affirmed that his battle for reform continues and the international community calls for the implementation of reforms as a prerequisite to assist Lebanon in its economic and financial reactivation.
President Aoun’s remarks came during his reception this morning at Baabda Palace, British Ambassador Chris Rampling and UK Defense Ministry Senior Adviser for Middle East Affairs General Sir John Lorimer on a farewell visit on the occasion the end of the mission of Ambassador Rampling in Lebanon and of General Lorimer in the region.
