The first episode will see the light, tomorrow Wednesday, that Facebook will enable the function, starting in September 20201, through the Watch Together service, which allows users to transmit video content from Facebook within a call on Messenger, which can include up to 50 people at a time.
To begin streaming the service, the user can initiate a video call on Messenger as usual, or create a messaging room, then swipe up to access the menu and select “View together.” The latter, a service now also available to users who have opted for the new Messenger experience on Instagram, combines the messaging section of the two applications.
In addition to the service, the new program will be added, which may not be available on Facebook or Facebook Watch.
Notably, users make more than 150 million video calls on Messenger every day, and more than 200 million video clips are sent through the messaging application, according to “Social Media Today.”
