The head of the Marada Movement, Suleiman Franjieh, said that his “conscience and that of Minister Fayosef Nyanos are clear and he will appear in court.”

In an interview on MTV, he said: “We want the truth about what happened in the Beirut port explosion, and we do not accuse the judge of politicization, but that he seeks stardom and satisfies that public opinion is angry. The judge must summon to all officials since the year of the entry of explosive materials into Lebanon. “

He added: “The timing of the Beirut port explosion is suspicious and raises many doubts. We have not yet made a judgment on whether these materials were intentionally or negligently placed.”

According to Franjieh, “the last first person responsible for the presence of ammonium nitrate in the port is the security services”.

He continued: “Fenianos did not inform me of the presence of ammonium nitrate in the port, and we have the responsibility to the President of the Republic because he is a military man and knows the danger of ammonium nitrate. Why did he not instruct the Minister of Works to get this stuff out of the port? “

And he added: “If they want to hold the political officials responsible in the record of the port explosion, that they summon all the prime ministers and the ministers of Justice, Works and Finance, and Finianos will go to the investigation.”

Franjieh noted that “Hezbollah has no role, as it appears in the media, on the issue of the port and ammonium nitrate.”
