Pompeo: Hezbollah is deceiving the Lebanese and we continue to expose Iran

After the U.S. Treasury Department imposed a new package of sanctions on Thursday night against large numbers of Iranians, and two companies linked to Hezbollah, as well as a leader on the party’s executive council, Secretary of State of the United States, Mike Pompeo, confirmed that his country continues to pressure Iran.

And he announced in a tweet via “Twitter” that his country had imposed sanctions on 47 Iranian individuals and entities involved in the global network of electronic threats of the Iranian regime.

He also said: “We will continue to expose Iran’s atrocious behavior and we will not hesitate to protect our country and our allies from Iranian pirates.”

This came after the Treasury Department confirmed that the US administration is committed to targeting Hezbollah and its allies who are misusing Lebanon’s resources while the Lebanese people suffer from a lack of services.

And in a statement published today on its website, it announced the imposition of sanctions on two companies and one of the people for their ties to Hezbollah, noting that the two companies are Arch Consultants for Engineering Studies and Consulting, and Mimar Engineering and Contracting, from which the Executive Council of the Iran-backed party receives benefits.

He also indicated that Sultan Khalifa Asaad, an official of the Hezbollah Executive Council, who is closely linked to the two companies, has been placed on the sanctions list.

Furthermore, he emphasized, “Hezbollah conspired with Lebanese officials, including former Minister of Public Works and Transportation, Youssef Fenianos, to award government contracts worth millions of dollars to the two companies, which were subject to sanctions today and are monitored by the Council. Hezbollah Executive “.
