Deputy Osama Saad considered that the apology of Prime Minister-designate Mustafa Adeeb for forming the government, in addition to the regrettable failure of the Hassan Diab government, and the fall of the Saad Hariri government under the blows of the October 17 uprising before the collapse of the Presidential understanding, and all this in less than a year, is a very clear sign. The depth of the political crisis that the ruling system has reached and its collapse, after it led the country to major collapses at different economic, financial, monetary and social levels.

Saad said in a statement he made today:
Mustafa Adeeb’s failure to form a government is related to the conflict between the parties of the ruling system over the sectarian and fractional sharing of shares in the face of political collapse and the inability to reach consensus, and is also related to violent conflicts between the regional and international axes to which these parties belong.
In the light of that struggle and those conflicts, the interests of Lebanon and the Lebanese people were absent. This is what we have been waiting for since Mustafa Adib entered the framework of the French initiative, and since this initiative imposed the headings of the ministerial declaration on the heads of the parliamentary blocs who showed nothing more than to listen and obey.

Saad added: The French initiative treated the parties of the ruling system as representatives of sectarian components, with the aim of seeking to prolong the life of its dilapidated political, economic and financial system.
The idea of dealing with Lebanon and the Lebanese state was completely absent from this initiative, as was the concept of actually saving Lebanon and the Lebanese people from economic, financial and social collapse.

Saad expressed his fear, after the setback in the French initiative after a courteous apology, that there would be a great acceleration of the monetary, economic and financial collapse, warning of the catastrophic repercussions on living conditions, and of the possible effects in terms of of increasing rates of immigration abroad.

Saad also warned that parts of the ruling system would intensify sectarian rhetoric and drive the country into chaos by shaking security stability. This is in order to pave the way for the implementation of their proposals on self-management and federalism.

Saad concluded by emphasizing the call for a national solution to all the crises in Lebanon, with the aim of a peaceful and safe passage from crisis situations to a political solution. And that’s through a transitional salvation government with exceptional powers and for a limited period, a government that represents the aspiration of the Lebanese youth to change and pave the way for the transition to a modern, capable and just civil state.
