At the invitation of the Ontario sector in the Canadian region, a Mass was celebrated at St Charbel Maronite Church – Mississauga, Ontario, on the 38th anniversary of the martyrdom of President Bashir Gemayel and his companions, forty-day fellow martyr Nizar Najarian , general secretary of the Lebanese Phalanges Party, and the forty-forty icon of the Lebanese resistance comrades Khouedelyn.
The sacrifice was presided over by Monsignor Joseph Salameh, who delivered a sermon in which he said:
Bashir, Jocelyn and Nazo We can only imagine them in their eternal lives as the leaders of a long caravan of martyrs that goes on and on year after year in the service of this country full of war, corruption and betrayal.
He continued: “What unites these three?
Bashir, the martyr president, became the martyr of presidents.
Jocelyn the Resistance, the heroine, became the messenger of the Resistors.
Nazo, the fighter who witnessed the fall of his brother and then the fall of his boss, became a martyr. “
And he added: “I hear them say in their hearts: the three are the sons of the Falange Party, the party that did not skimp on offering martyrs at the altar of the Fatherland. Displacement to enter migration, absurd to enter sectarianism
At the gates of its second centenary of its birth, and we continue to search for a homeland, an idea that unites and does not separate, for a lost justice, for a new political system that will free the Lebanese from wars, murders and afflictions.
He pointed out that a hundred years ago we continued searching because we would love to have a homeland like the one our martyrs dreamed of.
A homeland we love like Bashir, Jocelyn and Nazo adored it.
It is the logic of the love of martyrdom, of the love of Lebanon to martyrdom, as Nazo loved him when he decided to return to him to continue his struggle.
He added: “The love of Lebanon, with an area of 10,452 square kilometers, was just as Bashir loved it and killed it for it.”
The eternal love of Lebanon, which God chose as home and paradise, and planted his cedar mountains just as Jocelyn loved and served him.
They say: the logic of love has no logic, and we say that we love you as you loved Lebanon.
He concluded: “Today it’s your turn to get from where you are for us and for Lebanon.”
The intentions for this occasion were also read at Mass.
According to one of them:
Oh Lord, Bashir, Nazi, Jocelyn and all those who sacrificed and fought for human dignity and our right to a free and decent life before leaving for you, passed through thorns, worshiped us and our generations the way that we may walk safely.
Lord, help us not to disappoint them and sacrifice their offer
They fought and fought until we surrendered and our homeland surrendered
Help us, oh Lord, to pass the torch to our children, plant in them the love of Lebanon and be loyal to those who sacrificed and martyred for us, so that we can live and live Lebanon.
It is noteworthy that comrade Kamil Saada, the coordinator of the Ontario sector in the Lebanese battalions, the head of the Toronto Brigades section, comrade Kabi Al-Ghafri, and a group of fellow phalanxes and faithful participated in the mass. .
After the mass, the Lebanese flag was signed, which will cover the cornerstone of the statue of the martyrs, which will be inaugurated next week.
