The staff of Russian Kremlin exhibitor Alexei Navalny said he was poisoned with a bottle of water in his hotel room in the Siberian city of Tomsk, not at the airport as previously thought.

The team posted a video on Navalny’s Instagram account on Thursday, along with a detailed explanation of how Navalny was poisoned.

Where did the unfortunate bottle come from? Let’s explain where the thing that we are constantly asked questions about comes from. The so-called “bottle with” Novichok “, well, or rather, an ordinary plastic bottle found under water, in which traces of a chemical warfare agent were later found in a German laboratory. This is a bottle From a room in a Tomsk hotel where Navalny himself and our entire film crew stayed. Fast forward to August 20. On that day, some of our crew flew to Moscow and some stayed in Tomsk to finish the video. During the flight, Alexei lost consciousness and began to drown, the plane urgently sat down. Almost immediately, the FBK employees who remained in Tomsk learned of the incident. At that time, the only possible thing was done. They called a lawyer, they went up to the room that Navalny had just come from and began to record, describe and pack everything they found there. Including bottles of hotel water. You can see how this happened in this video. There was no hope left. cular to find something like that. But as it was absolutely clear to us that Navalny was not “slightly ill”, not “overheated” and Rafaelka could not help here, it was decided to take whatever might be hypothetically useful in some way and hand it over to the doctors in Germany. The fact that the case would not be investigated in Russia was also quite obvious. And so it happened: almost a month passed, Russia did not recognize Alexey’s poisoning. Two weeks later, it was on the Tomsk edition bottle that the German laboratory found traces of “Novichok”. And then two more labs that took tests from Alexei confirmed that Navalny was poisoned by him. Now we get it: this was done before he left his room to go to the airport. Today at 20.00 in the program “Russia of the future” on the YouTube channel Navalny LIVE Georgy Alburov @alburov will tell you the details.

Navalny suddenly fell ill on a domestic flight in Russia last month and was subsequently flown to Berlin for treatment.

German doctors said he was poisoned by nerve gas, while Russia said it had seen no evidence of poisoning.

On Tuesday, dissident Navalny posted his first message and photo on Instagram since Germany confirmed he had been poisoned in late August, while his spokesman announced that he would return to Russia as soon as he recovers.

Russia, for its part, denied any link to the health problems of the most prominent Kremlin opponent, noting that it does not see any indication of an assassination attempt with a Novichok-type neurotoxic substance, contrary to what was confirmed by three European laboratories.

“I can hardly do anything, but yesterday (Monday) I was able to breathe alone all day,” Navalny wrote on his Instagram account, attaching the message to a photo of him opening his eyes and sitting on his bed in a Berlin hospital with his wife, daughter and son by his side.

He jokingly added: “I liked (breathing without devices), it’s an amazing process and a lot of people underestimate it. I recommend it.”

“I miss you,” he told his 1.7 million followers a week after waking up from a coma.

And the Charité Hospital in Berlin, where he is receiving treatment, announced on Monday that the dissident, who was a victim of poisoning on August 20 in Tomsk in Siberia, according to their circles, can now “completely abandon artificial respiration.”
