For the first time in 17 months, a violent explosion occurred in Ain Issa, north of Raqqa, as a result of a Turkish fighter plane aimed at the village of Sidon on the line of confrontation between the Syrian Democratic Forces and the pro factions Turkish, without knowing the extent of the damage.
These events occurred at a time when clashes with medium and heavy weapons still occur between the Syrian Democratic Forces, on the one hand, and the Turkish forces and the factions loyal to them, on the axis of Sidon and Muallaq east of Ain. Issa.
The regime withdraws
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights learned from its sources that the Syrian Democratic Forces had closed the entrances to the city of Ain Issa with military checkpoints and prevented anyone from entering without their restrictions, while a convoy of regime forces which included dozens of members of the “93rd Brigade” withdrew in the district of Ain Issa, without ascertaining the causes.
Human casualties
Violent clashes also continued between the regime forces and the Syrian Democratic Forces, on the one hand, and the Turkish forces and their loyalist factions on the axes of Ain al-Gharbiyya on the side of the villages of Sidon and Muqala, in the middle of mutual missile attacks between the two parties.
On Sunday morning, the Observatory indicated that violent clashes are taking place in the axes of the Ain Issa district, in the northern countryside of the Raqqa governorate, between the Turkish forces and the factions loyal to them, on the one hand, and the Syrian Democratic Forces and the regime forces on the other side, on one side of the city of Muallaq, on the western side of Ain Issa. In an attempt by the Turkish forces and factions loyal to them to advance towards and cut off the highway connecting Ain Issa with the city of Ain al-Arab, amidst intense and mutual missile attacks in the region, and confirmed information on victims.
Notably, the boil has been going on in northern Syria for days, as powerful explosions have rocked pro-Turkish militia areas in northern Syria in recent days, targeting oil tanks in the vicinity of Aleppo.
The Turkish Defense Ministry announced at the time that its forces responded to these missiles, revealing that they were launched from an airport under the control of the Syrian regime.
