The Minister of Public Health of the interim government, Hamad Hassan, considered, in a televised interview, that the first and last reason for the increase in the number of Coronavirus infections is the recklessness and uncontrolled epidemiological behavior of some societies.
He pointed out that the general mobilization law is still in force, but the percentage of commitment and implementation varies, noting that each person from his position must assume his responsibility, highlighting that “the number today is shocking and officials must act with responsibility, prudence and calm “.
Hassan stressed that the Ministry of Health does not have confusion in its opinions, rather it has always demanded the maximum commitment to controls and procedures, explaining that the recommendations made by the Ministry are based on their medical and health dimension, saying: “We understand the need for people to live, but there is no balance between health and livelihood. “Nobody dies of hunger, but they die of crown”.
In response to a question, the Minister of Public Health in the interim government said that Lebanon “contracted the dowry”, stating that the ministry takes the bold decision to recommend, while the responsibility for the decision rests with the ministry committee and the capacity of municipal and security authorities to monitor implementation.
