The number of detainees in connection with this bloody attack in Nice amounted to five, including three in France and two in Tunisia.

According to Reuters, according to a French police source, a third person was arrested, after he was suspected of being linked to the terrorist attack in Nice.

Ibrahim El-Owaisawi, who was 21 years old, killed 3 people in a church in Nice and one of the victims was beheaded.

The police shot at the attacker, who repeated the phrase “God is great”, but he was taken to hospital, while some sources described his condition as critical.

Meanwhile, the Sky News Arabia Paris correspondent reported that the second person arrested in the case contacted the attacker on the eve of the attack.

Call your family in Tunisia

The British newspaper “The Guardian” reported that the attacker called his family in Tunis 12 hours before the attack, but did not reveal his criminal intentions.

In his call at 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, Al-Owaisawi told his family that he went to France because job opportunities are much better in this European country, unlike Italy, where there are more unemployed looking for work.

Al-Awassawi told her sister that she sought refuge in the church of Notre Dame in Nice to find a place to sleep, then added that she would stay in a place in front of her, but did not say anything about the attack.

The attacker lived with eight sisters and two brothers in an industrial area in the coastal city of Sfax, which is only 130 km from the Italian island of Lampedusa and is a transit point for illegal immigrants from Tunisia.

On September 14, Al-Issawi arrived on the island of Lampedusa, aboard a small boat, along with others, and recently traveled from Italy to France.

Al-Owaisawi was searched by the Italian authorities, and in this case, his counterparts receive an exit order and his deportation is usually a matter of time, but he has probably escaped surveillance, according to experts.

Investigators believe that Al-Awassawi infiltrated, through an illegal method, the border between France and Italy before carrying out the bloody attack.

Reports in Tunisia indicated that local police noticed “violent” behavior and drug-related activity by El-Ouesawi, which was confirmed by the family in turn, but explained that he became religious after that.

On Friday, the Tunisian prosecutor said he was investigating a statement by a Tunisian organization calling itself “Al-Mahdi in southern Tunisia”, claiming responsibility for the attack that took place in Nice, France.

“The Prosecutor of the Judicial Pole of Fight against Terrorism authorizes a specialized security unit to open a forensic investigation related to the investigation of the veracity and credibility of the existence of an organization called Mahdi in southern Tunisia, which adopted the implementation of the terrorist operation in Nice, “the Tunisian news agency quoted Deputy Prosecutor of the Court of First Instance, Mohsen El-Daly, as saying.

And today, Saturday, in Tunisia, security teams on Friday managed to arrest the terrorist element called Walid Al-Saidi, who appeared in a video clip that circulated on Facebook, in which he denounced on behalf of a new organization called ‘Al-Mahdi’ the terrorist operation that took place on Thursday in Nice.
