They added that “reaching an agreement with Israel under the auspices of the new US president could put the relations between the Biden administration and Riyadh on solid foundations.”
The newspaper also noted that other factors influenced the Saudi crown prince’s decision. Among them is that “the young prince has a different view than his father, King Salman, on how to approach the issue of Palestinians seeking to establish their own state.”
She stated: “The Saudi monarch was aware of his son’s conversations with the Israelis, but his poor health prevented him from understanding the full range of discussions,” according to the newspaper.
