An Avianca plane was traveling from the US city of Orlando to the Colombian capital, Bogotá, to make an emergency landing after colliding with a large object in the air.

According to The Aviation Herald, the plane was about to land near the Bogota airport runway when it collided with a large plastic object, which interlocked with its engines, wings, and the left and right horizontal balances as well.

The crew managed to land safely on the runway, and video recorded by witnesses showed that the entire plane was entangled in New Year’s decorations. Colombian media speculated that the plastic object may have been a fireworks balloon.

Social media pioneers vigorously denounced the behavior of Eid celebrators, which nearly caused the plane to crash.
