Today, Indian actor Rishi Kapoor died after a two-year fight with leukemia, according to his family.
Kapoor starred in popular Bollywood movies, including: Bobby and Mira Nam Joker (My Name is Joker).
Kapoor, 67, is a descendant of a famous family in the film industry, married with two children and diagnosed with cancer in 2018.
His family said in a statement: “He remained happy and returned to life with all of his souls during two years of treatment on two continents.”
Kapoor moved to New York for treatment and returned to his home in Mumbai in September.
Kapoor’s death came a day after the death of 54-year-old Indian actor Irfan Khan, who has starred in such popular films as “Life of Bay” and “Jurassic World” (Jurassic World), which he also had cancer.
The Kapoor family urged fans, who normally flocked to the streets to commemorate him, to abide by the rules of social separation imposed due to the outbreak of the emerging Corona Virus pandemic: “There are many restrictions on movement and meetings in public places.
