Therefore, you always see him emerge from meeting to meeting, and signs of confusion and nervousness appear on his face.
Even Hezbollah Secretary General Hassan Nasrallah showed interest in the problem of forming an Israeli government, despite his interest and concern about the problem of forming a Lebanese government since the fall of last year. The Hezbollah leader is correct in describing the electoral situation in Israel. Indeed, Netanyahu is stumbling, left to right, and is trying with all his might to ensure that the 61 candidates continue to lead the government, but this is not an easy matter. You now have two strong opponents: a right-wing opponent from your own country and another (formed) opponent. Naftali Bennett, leader of the “Yamina” party, and Gideon Sa’ar, head of the “Tikva Hadshah” party. Oriented to the right. The first is a traditional opponent and the second is a Likud defector. In addition to the right-wing Avigdor Lieberman, leader of the “Israel Our Home” party.
Netanyahu appealed to the two and pleaded with them to form what he called a “stable right-wing government.” Netanyahu, who is known for his tone of pride and arrogance, was this time meek in his words to both of them and, of course, “out of a need in Jacob’s soul.” He said in a statement: “It is no secret that we have had disagreements over the years, but we knew how to overcome them and work together. Naftali Bennett also clearly understood Netanyahu, who “cares about citizens, not guaranteed seats, and that he will continue to do everything possible to establish a good and stable government that saves Israel from chaos.” So Bennett’s position is clear, as he doesn’t want a coalition with Netanyahu. Lieberman is determined to completely distance himself from Netanyahu and has made many statements refusing to join the Netanyahu-led government.
However, despite the statements of Sa’ar, Bennett and Lieberman, political positions, especially in Israel, constantly fluctuate and we have enough experience. Didn’t Gantz say one day that he is against Netanyahu and wants to form a government? Thus he joined Netanyahu and deceived his followers. Sa’ar and Bennett can change positions. But now it is clear that they are not with Netanyahu.
Arab representatives remain the target of Netanyahu, specifically the representatives of the Islamic United Arab List headed by Representative Mansour Abbas. If we look at Abbas’s “philosophy” regarding the next prime minister, it is like the one who explains water after a water effort. He affirms: “He is on the side of those who elected him and not on the side of the right or the left. The question posed: On the day of the recommendations before the Knesset Speaker, who will recommend Dr. Mansour to form the government? “Mansour Abbas’s answer is clear:” Who is ready to meet the demands of our people? “Is there really an Israeli prime minister who meets the demands of the Palestinians within the Zionist entity? We will wait and see who will achieve this for Mansour Abbas.
Netanyahu, in an attempt to attract the Arab voice, promised to operate flights from Tel Aviv to Mecca to perform the Hajj. But Saudi Arabia responded to Netanyahu with a veiled rejection of the proposal. The Israeli scenario is completely unfavorable for Netanyahu, and luck and fluctuations in attitudes may help him continue his work as head of the Israeli government.
