World – Lebanon
Sayyid Nasrallah’s speech was full of positions and highlights on many developments. The course of the last weeks was addressed, specifically with regard to the formation of the government, the French initiative and the words of the French president. The calm tone that prevailed in the speech did not obscure the cruelty of the content, in terms of Hezbollah’s rejection of Macron’s words, in their style and content, as well as its refusal to install the French president himself as Lebanon’s guardian, prosecutor and judge to issue sentences on various political forces and constitutional officials. Nasrallah ordered Macron to adhere to the principles of the speech, while leaving the door open to relaunch the French initiative. Ironically, the Hezbollah secretary general is the only one among Lebanese politicians who responded to Macron’s “insult”, defending everyone after “damaging national dignity”, and the Amal movement preceded him with a statement to that effect.
Immediately after the end of Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyid Hassan Nasrallah’s speech last night, the party’s media relations organized a tour for the local and international press at an industrial facility in the Jnah area. . After Netanyahu’s speech, and before Sayyid Nasrallah’s speech announcing the trip, the Israeli army spokesman posted a video claiming the existence of facilities to manufacture precision missile materials, at the site mentioned by the enemy prime minister. , and in two other places. Hezbollah’s media relations official, Muhammad Afif, confirmed in a statement to reporters that the tour is “to respond to Netanyahu and reveal his lies,” noting that “we are not enemy scouts and we do not provide him with information, and we are not required to carry out similar rounds every time the enemy asserts the same accusations. “
Sayyed Nasrallah advised the French president to take lessons from the past period and approach matters differently, so as not to achieve the same result. He reviewed the French initiative from its inception when “there were meetings at the Pine Palace and an initiative was proposed, and they all confirmed that we support the French initiative and the first step was the government formation process, and we had no problem so that the first Minister Saad Hariri took over the Prime Minister or appointed the person he wanted. We accepted the club’s appointment of the four former heads of government to Mustafa Adeeb for convenience, and we did not establish any conditions ”.
He pointed out that “after Adeeb’s assignment, some asked him to wait because there are those who negotiate and there has been no discussion with the political blocs, explaining that“ Adeeb did not speak or consult with any of the parliamentary blocs because he did not do so with the President of the Republic, although he is a partner in the drafting process. government”.
He emphasized that “who was negotiating with us about the government was not President Adeeb but President Saad Hariri.” “What was offered us was how to know the number of government ministers and the rotation of portfolios and their distribution and the names of the ministers,” noting that “the French must know where they went wrong, especially in what of the annulment of the most important remaining powers of the President of the Republic.
“We rejected what was presented to us because it is dangerous for the country and is not a matter for discussion,” noting that “from 2005 to today, the established custom has been the agreement between the prime minister and the blocs on bags and did not discuss the names “, while” what was presented to us on the issue of government contradicts current regulations. ” Years ago ”, indicating that“ the objective was to impose new norms that violate the constitution in favor of parties that do not represent a majority in parliament, and when we asked if the French initiative included what the club of former presidents had proposed, they told us not “. He noted that “the French initiative does not include the number of ministers, the principle of rotation and the party that distributes portfolios and appoints ministers,” highlighting “adherence to appointing the Shiite minister for what has to do with the decision.” He said that “at some point there was an attempt to present a de facto government, but Adeeb assured us that he does not want to confront anyone.” It’s a waste of time, whoever your pastor or supporter is. “
And Sayyed Nasrallah considered that what was presented “was not a government of salvation, but a government that he calls the club of former prime ministers, and whose decision is made by a single team.” He added: “We have always said that the reason for our presence in the government is to protect the back of the resistance, and we must be in the government to protect the back of the resistance so that the government of May 5, 2008 is not repeated in Lebanon. And at all levels ». Sayyed Nasrallah stressed that “we cannot accept the formation of a government, and we do not know if it will sign all the conditions of the International Monetary Fund or sell the state property under the pretext of paying off the debt and the deficit, and we can no longer allow anyone form a government due to the delicacy and sensitivity of the economic situation in Lebanon. “
He turned to the French president and said: “Did the French initiative include former prime ministers forming the government and appointing ministers? We prevent the country from getting worse and we hope that the Lebanese will cooperate so that the country does not get worse. He told him: “Look for the party that wanted to take over the country and eliminate the political forces with its cover.”
In response to Macron’s accusations to the party of not adhering to the promise, Sayyed Nasrallah said: “We, His Excellency, the French President, are known to friend and foe for our commitment to our promises and sacrifices to fulfill them. He added: “We did not go to Syria to fight civilians, but to confront the groups that you say are terrorists and takfiri. You are in Syria under this pretext, but without the approval of the Syrian state. As for us, I will.”
And he affirmed that Hezbollah is the one who makes the decision in Lebanese affairs, “Iran does not interfere or dictate, and if you want to look for those who frustrated your initiative outside of Lebanon, look for the Americans and the last speech of King Salman.”
