Hundreds of students of the Evangelical School – Nabatiyeh will not be able to follow their lessons remotely, after the school administration refused to register them for the current academic year and include them in school regulations, or in the online educational system , because they did not pay the fees accumulated in them since the last school year.

The parents committee sources spoke of “blackmailing” parents and “playing with the fate of some 400 students and their future”, in violation of the law. Law 515 (Regulating the School Budget) prohibits students from using fuel in conflicts between parents and school administrations.
And Nabatiyeh Urgent Affairs Judge Ahmad Muzher required the school to freeze 40% of the enrollment for the final academic year for all grade levels and levels until the objection to the budget annex submitted to the Special Education Authority of the Ministry of Education, after the Parents Committee presented an objection to the supplement that includes a reduction. 213 million pounds from the budget of the last academic year However, the Ministry of Education has not yet ruled on the objection, taking into account that there are around 100 school budgets that were studied by an auditing firm commissioned by the ministry, and the parent committees in them are still waiting for the “bomb” that the head of the Special Education Authority spoke a few days ago, Imad Al-Ashqar, to issue warnings to these Schools and the ministry announce discounts on premiums.
Parents committee sources asked: “Why are students not registered and their rights preserved until the decisions of the Ministry of Education are issued?” While the school’s director, Shadi Al-Hajjar, said: “We cannot register students with accumulated fees, since the school has many rights.” He noted, “We have provided many facilities to pay the installments, in terms of paying the amounts in installments, or offering discounts that range between 20 and 40%, or allowing the signing of bonds with the lawyer or notary or overdue checks. However, the Parents Committee insists on the cases ”. And he considered that “the decision to freeze 40% of enrollment has been stopped and is not enforceable after the school’s objection, and that the Ministry has not decided the objections that have been raised since last May.
