Binding parliamentary consultations are underway to appoint the new prime minister, while in the morning it was noted that the MTV team was unable to enter the Republican Palace and cover the event. A decision that generated controversy on social networks, and left a set of political interpretations, until the Media Office of the Presidency of the Republic issued a statement shortly before, explaining what happened about preventing the channel from entering the Republican Palace. He recalled attacking the “Murr” channel of the President of the Republic, Michel Aoun, stripping himself of his official status and content with his name without his title, while “he persisted in insulting him, insulting him and making inappropriate epithets.” The statement noted that there were attempts to review the inappropriate method used by the station “to no avail.” He recalled these violations that are sanctioned by the Audiovisual Media Law, which “allows the station to be closed when the violation is repeated.” He concluded by saying: “We do not hide news related to the presidency of the station, and the action taken against him cannot be considered a violation of freedom of the press, which the presidency has a great interest in adhering to and practicing.”
