Deputy Dr Edkar Traboulsi announced that he had discovered the existence of laptops in warehouses, so he wrote to the Minister of Education of the interim government, Tareq Al-Majzoub, and no movement took place. Traboulsi said: “This matter is unacceptable and difficult to accept, especially since the Diab government was formed in January, and a few days after Minister Majzoub received the education folder, Mrs. Sonia Khoury wrote and informed him the existence of computers, and a week later he sent him a second letter, so he did. The director general of the Ministry of Education, who wrote to him on June 1, and the minister waited until June 9 to meet your team and ask them to prepare a dossier on the subject.

Representative Idkar Trabelsi revealed that “there are 5,710 computers provided by UNICEF that were kept in Dbayeh, and 2,400 computers provided by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees and remained stored in the port, as they were supposed to be kept only for six months, that is until February, and unfortunately it didn’t happen. ” Anything in February, and the computers remained in the port until the August 4 blast came, and most of the computers were lost in the blast.

He held Trabelsi “responsible for what happened with the Ministry of Education in the person of the minister,” and indicated that the central inspection must define responsibilities, especially since there is public correspondence on this matter with the minister.
He noted that “the computers should be ready from July in the schools, and that they should be distributed immediately to the schools,” and stressed that he will follow up on the matter until the computers reach all classes in public schools.
