The late Argentine soccer legend, Diego Armando Maradona, has responded to the opening of an investigation for involuntary manslaughter, including the raid on his home, which had done everything possible to the point of saving an uncontrollable patient before his death on last Wednesday at age 60.

On Sunday, the public prosecutor’s office in San Isidro, near Buenos Aires, opened an investigation into the circumstances of the death of the “golden child”, for which the police raided the office and the house of Dr. Loki, looking for evidence of possible professional oversight. Judicial sources indicated that the suspicion that Lucky, who underwent Maradona surgery in early November, had a brain tumor, did not automatically mean that he was detained by the police or restricted his freedom.
“You want to know where I was responsible?” Said Loki, 39, sighing at a press conference. In my love for him, I take care of him, lengthen his life and ultimately improve it.
Loki added that he had done everything in his power to the point of the impossible, considering himself a friend of Maradona and treating him like a father rather than a patient.
A statement issued by the Public Ministry indicated that it began to analyze the collected materials, explaining that “so far no decisions have been made on the procedural situation of any person.” On Friday, the Argentine Judiciary opened an investigation into the possibility of negligence in receiving the necessary care that led to the death of Maradona, following statements by his daughters, Dalma, Giannina and Jana, about the method of treating heart problems of the 1986 World Cup champion at his residence in Tigre, north of the Argentine capital.
The Neapolitan Italian star died in his sleep due to “an acute pulmonary crisis and an exacerbation of chronic heart failure,” according to a preliminary autopsy.
Maradona was at his home in the town of Tigre, 30 km north of the capital, Buenos Aires, where he had lived since November 11, after leaving a clinic where he had an operation on his head to remove a bruise at the beginning. of last month. Maradona’s residence was chosen to be close to his daughters.
But Maradona was in poor health due to his past with heart problems. He also underwent treatment to stop alcohol dependence, which he mixed with many medications that he was taking.

Maradona was very sad and wanted to be alone

A relative stated: “The clinic recommended that I go to the hospital. But his family decided otherwise. “
Loki, who described Maradona as uncontrollable, went on to say that they should have taken him to a rehab center, but he wouldn’t.
Loki asked why there was no defibrillator in case of a heart attack, at Maradona’s house in Tigray, and explained that home care was not among his tasks: “I am a neurosurgeon… I am the one who takes care of him. I am proud of everything I have done. I have nothing to hide. I put myself at the disposal of justice ».
Hours after the death of the 1986 world champion, Maradona’s lawyer and friend, Matthias Morla, stated that “it took more than half an hour for the ambulance to reach Maradona’s house.” He warned that he would go “to the end.”
Loki said there should be an ambulance outside. “A psychiatrist demanded that there always be an ambulance in front of his house. I don’t know who is responsible for the lack of an ambulance ”.
And the doctor added that Diego “was very sad. He wanted to be alone, not because he did not like his daughters, his family or those around him.”
The Public Ministry is waiting for the results of the laboratory, and has put its hand on the medical file, in addition to the camera recordings in the area where Maradona lived his last days.
The superstar, in his early twenties, looked very weak on October 30 in his last appearance, on his 60th birthday.
